Can you give a random earth fact?

Why, of course! Did you know that the Earth is like a giant sandwich? Not literally, of course. But, just like a sandwich has layers, so does our planet. It's divided into four main layers: the crust (that's the part we live on), the mantle (just below the crust), the outer core (a layer of liquid metal), and then finally, the inner core (a solid ball of metal). Just imagine if we had to eat that sandwich!
The crust is what we walk on every day and it varies in thickness from about 5 miles under the oceans to about 25 miles under the continents. The mantle beneath it is much thicker - about 1,800 miles thick! It's made mostly of semi-molten rock. The outer core, which borders the mantle, is mostly composed of liquid iron and nickel. The inner core - well, it's a bit of a mystery because we can't actually get to it. But scientists believe it's made up mostly of iron and nickel just like its liquid counterpart.
So next time you bite into your ham and cheese or PB&J sandwich, just think about how our planet is layered just like your lunch! And remember to chew carefully; unlike Earth’s layers, sandwiches are not meant to last billions of years.
