Imagine your body is like a big water balloon. When you're well-hydrated, the balloon is nice and full and squishy. But when you don't drink enough water, the balloon starts to get a bit floppy and sad. That's what we call dehydration! It's when your body doesn't have enough water to do all the important things it needs to do, like keeping your skin healthy and helping you digest your food.
Now, how would you know if you're turning into a sad, floppy water balloon? Well, you might feel really thirsty or have a headache. You might feel tired or dizzy, too. Even your pee can give clues! If it's dark yellow instead of light yellow or clear, that could mean you need more water.
So remember, just like a plant needs water to stay green and happy, your body needs it too! And no one wants to be a sad, floppy water balloon... or worse yet - a raisin! So let's drink up!
