Diamonds are shiny, sparkly rocks that people think are very special and valuable. They are made from a kind of carbon that is super duper old and has been under the ground for a really long time. It takes a lot of pressure and heat for diamonds to form, kind of like how it takes a lot of pressure for you to clean your room! Diamonds are often used in jewelry, like fancy rings or necklaces, because they look really pretty and make people feel special when they wear them.
Did you know that diamonds are the hardest natural substance on Earth? That means they are really tough and can't easily be scratched. But even though diamonds are strong, they can still break if you hit them with something really hard. So remember, even though diamonds are precious, they need to be taken care of!
