High Fever
Asked on: Sep 12, 2023 08:44 AMOh dear, a high fever is like when your body turns up the heat because it's fighting off some naughty germs. It's like your body is a superhero, and the fever is its superpower to fight the bad guys! But sometimes, this superpower can get a little too strong and make you feel yucky.
It's important to rest, drink lots of fluids (like water or juice), and sometimes take medicine if your doctor says so. This helps your superhero body calm down and not have to work so hard. And remember, even superheroes need help sometimes, so it's okay to ask for help when you're not feeling well!
Just like how ice cream melts when it gets too hot (and we don't want that!), our bodies don't like being too hot either. So, if you have a high fever for more than a day or two, or you're feeling really sick, you should tell an adult and see a doctor.
And remember: even though having a fever might make you feel like a hot potato, it doesn't mean you can start baking fries in your ears! Stay cool and get well soon!
