Is pork illegal in some countries?

Yes, little buddy, pork is indeed illegal in some countries. Just like how your mom might not let you eat candy before dinner, some countries have rules about not eating pork. This is mostly because of religious reasons. In Islam, for example, eating pork is considered haram, which is a fancy word for "forbidden". So, in countries where Islam is the main religion, like Saudi Arabia and Iran, selling and eating pork is illegal.

But don't worry! If you ever visit these countries there are lots of other yummy foods you can try instead. They have things like hummus and falafel which are super tasty! And remember, just because some people don't eat certain foods doesn't mean they're bad or wrong. It's just like how your best friend Tommy doesn't like broccoli but you do.
