What does condescending means?

Imagine you're climbing a mountain and someone at the top is looking down at you. They're higher up, right? Now imagine that person thinks they're better than you just because they're on top. That's what being condescending is like. It's when someone behaves as if they're superior to others, and treats them in a patronizing way. They might talk down to people or act like they know better, even when it's not true.
Here's another way to picture it: think of a peacock strutting around, showing off its feathers, acting like it's the king of the jungle (even though we all know that title belongs to the lion). If that peacock started telling all the other animals how to live their lives because it thought its shiny feathers made it smarter or better, that would be pretty condescending!
So remember, being condescending isn't about actually knowing more or being better. It's more about an attitude of superiority that isn't really earned or justified. And just like no one likes a show-off peacock who thinks he runs the jungle, no one likes a condescending person either! So let's all try to stay humble and treat each other with respect.
