What is the book of codex?

The Codex is a very special kind of book, kiddo. It's not like the books you have at home or in school. You see, long, long time ago, people didn't have paper or computers to write things down. So they used other materials like animal skins (yuck!) or plant leaves (can you imagine?).

Now, the Codex is one of those old-timey books. It's made by taking sheets of material, folding them in half and then sewing them together along the fold to make a book. The most famous Codex is probably the Codex Gigas, also known as the Devil's Bible because it has a big scary picture of the devil inside! But don't worry, it's just a picture.

So next time you're writing in your notebook at school, remember how lucky you are that you don't have to use animal skins!

And always remember: no animal was harmed in the making of your notebook... unless you count trees as animals! Just kidding! Trees are plants not animals!
