what would happen if man did not exist

Imagine a world without humans, much like a giant, unattended zoo. With no one around to maintain or interfere with the natural order of things, nature would reclaim its territory. The cities we built would slowly crumble under the relentless assault of weather and plant life. Skyscrapers would be swallowed by vines and trees, while roads would crack and buckle as plants push through the concrete.

The air quality would significantly improve without our factories spewing pollutants into the atmosphere. Animals that we've pushed to the brink of extinction might bounce back, repopulating areas they were once driven from. Forests could regrow, absorbing carbon dioxide and helping to slow down climate change.

However, it's not all roses. Some species dependent on human activity for survival might struggle or go extinct. Domesticated animals like dogs and cows might have a tough time fending for themselves initially but eventually they'd adapt or evolve to survive in the wild.

So essentially, if humans disappeared today, Earth would get a massive reset button...except for our plastic waste which would stick around for hundreds of years! Now isn't that a laugh? We're gone but our plastic bottles are here to stay!
