Who founded KFC restaurant?
Asked on: Sep 12, 2023 12:04 PMKFC, which stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken, was founded by a gentleman named Colonel Harland Sanders. Now, don't be fooled by the "Colonel" part. He wasn't a real military colonel; it's an honorary title given to him by the state of Kentucky. Sanders started selling his famous fried chicken during the Great Depression in a small gas station in Corbin, Kentucky. His chicken was so finger-lickin' good that it quickly became famous and eventually turned into the international fast-food chain we know today as KFC.
Colonel Sanders didn't just wake up one day knowing how to make delicious fried chicken though. It took him many years of experimenting and taste-testing (which sounds like a pretty yummy job to me!). Once he found the perfect recipe, he kept it secret. Even today, KFC claims that their recipe is hidden in a super-secret vault! Can you imagine that? A vault full of fried chicken secrets!
