For instance, if you're from Canada but you're living in Japan without having Japanese citizenship, then you would be considered an alien in Japan.
So you see, the term "alien" has quite a broad range! It can refer to little green men from Mars (or any other color or planet!), or it could simply mean someone living in a country that's not their original home. It's all about the context!
But let's not forget about Alien as a famous science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott. The movie features one of the most iconic aliens ever created for cinema: a terrifying creature that hatches from eggs and has acid for blood! Now that's an alien you wouldn't want to meet in real life!
