Who made the atomic bomb?

The atomic bomb was created by a group of scientists under the project name "Manhattan Project". This was not a one-man job, but rather a collective effort of many brilliant minds. The project was led by Robert Oppenheimer, who is often referred to as the "father of the atomic bomb". However, many other scientists contributed significantly to its development, including Enrico Fermi and Richard Feynman.

The Manhattan Project started in 1939, when Albert Einstein wrote a letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt warning that Nazi Germany might be developing an atomic weapon. This spurred the U.S. into action, leading to the establishment of the Manhattan Project in 1942. The goal was clear: build an atomic bomb before the Nazis do.

After years of hard work and billions of dollars spent, their efforts paid off on July 16, 1945. That's when they detonated the world's first atomic bomb in a test known as Trinity. And as they say in science class, BOOM! History was made!
